I don't know how current most of the information is, but if you click 'links' at the top of the page (not 'quick links') and then select folk festivals and venues, there is a substantial number of links. Unfortunately, there is no info on that page about when festivals occur.

Don't know that you will be travelling that far south when you cross the country, but the "Glenville Folk Festival" at Glenville, WV is early to mid-June. Mostly old-time, bluegrass and string band music.
