The pious complainers aren't complaining, probably because there isn't any profanity in the thread title to get the whole of Mudcat blocked by their workplace smut censors. It's also not in people's faces if they have to read the thread to see the bad words.

'Cunt' is just a word. I don't care much for it, but I get more huffy about 'nukular' and 'irregardless', and I'm extremely tempted to do something about the mis-spelling in the thread title. Profanity exists to offend people. If it does offend, then it's doing exactly what it's supposed to.

Anybody remember the old M*A*S*H* TV show and the endless substitutions for 'bullshit' Col. Potter came up with? I think that's where 'horse pucky' came from, but it might have existed before the show.
