If you did your research, you could probably come up with similar stories about "As You Like It" or "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Any play, which gets performed as often as MacBeth is going to have its fair share of disasters. It is easy to pick out all the disasters rather than the thousands of occasions, when everything passed off without incident.
