Hi Don:There are two types of Hearme connections. The first is a simplified version that is installed on a users website. It is what we have been using at Mudcat since Max installed it on the "Online jamming with hearme!!!" thread. It is also what is provided in the Hearme for ICQ addin (see the Online jamming thread) which Momnopp found.
The other is a more full featured version that requires you to go to the Hearme.com website and register, then download additional software. You can then go and create voice chat "rooms" in a number of Lobbies at their web site. The music is found in the "On stage" lobby. The full version allows you to lock your mic to on (toggle), and also has a white board, and some other features. You can also have a camera and be "live" while you are singing or talking in some of the lobbies. Another list I am on uses this version for online interactive banjo lessons.
I loaded the Hearme for ICQ today and tried it out with Momnopp. It worked pretty good, but seemed to be a little slower than the Mudcat direct link.

Oh! and as far as I know you must have an Windows 95 or greater PC and Internet 4.1 or greater to get Hearme to work. This is even if you are using Netscape as your main browser as I do.
