Thread Name: Fun With Mangled Lyrics
Subject: RE: Fun With Mangled Lyrics
Whose idea was this?? I just spent ages putting each line in separately. This one doesn't seem to be too far from the original in parts, but it's worth it for the last two lines of verse 4 alone. (Amazing what digital technology and cameras do for translation of what I would have thought to be a fairly standard word!!!)

When I which eighteen I took a wife
I loved it dear, while I loved my life
Maintain and for their tidy and homosexual
I went robbing on the highway of the king

I robbed never each poor man already
Still I was not in the debt of dealers,
But I robbed the homosexuals lords and the ladies
And I carried the gold for house to my love immediately

To the garden of the Amors I away
To the garden of the Amors for to see to the play
Group of the lord Fangen's, whom I exercise there did
And I was taken by the verfluchten crew

My father cried "Oh my sweet son"
My wife, those it cried and cried "I is annuliert"
My nut/mother, if she tore her grey bolting devices up violently, cried
"Oh- in its photograph device, which it should have died"

Now, when I went dead and to my grave
Flashy a funeral, which I crave
Left no however fat robbers to follow it me
Give them good broadswords and sweet liberty

Let six pretty Maide my covering up carry
And you give them flowers and sweet nosegays all
That they can say, when they speak the truth
"A wild and common youth goes"
