Waaay off the subject, but there was an awards ceremony where Pavarotti no-showed, and Aretha Franklin sang "Nessun Dorma." I would have loved to hear that!It's about having an ear for the music, whatever the music is. Some classically trained musicians don't have one, because all they've ever learned was to play what's in front of them on the paper. I suspect they may not be very good classical musicians, since classical music also requires some interperetation and a lot of feeling. Some do.
