Jerry, if society is becoming more polarised, and I agree with you on that, you must expect it to be reflected here. Ignore it, and it's just swept out of sight. I think one thing that has accelerated the polarisation was the sudden, rapid, and, to some us over the water, unwelcome changes of attitude after the twin towers atrocity. I think it's a good thing, if a bit painful, for us to know how left siders think, and conversely for Americans to appreciate that attitudes elsewhere can be very different.
