Aine, sorry to be so long in posting to your query, but I wanted to have something to offer....and after checking out a few things, and wracking my (very subjective) memory, I haven't come up with much. What I'd like to be able to ask is, does it have a "Ramirez style" headstock? or "Ramirez bracing". I'm tending to think it might be a Japanese import, as I've seen the "Greco" label several times...but only on steel string imports. If you wanna give me a call at 416-690-8697, I'll be around all day (Sunday) and maybe you can describe some of it's innards. The problem is, that often guitars were given different labels in the different countries they were distributed in. (much like cars) As an example, most "Goyas" that I saw in Europe, were called "Levin". Many Stella instruments that reached Canada in the 1920s and 30s, were only labeled "Peete Musical Instrument Company", which was only the distributor. Sorry I can't be more help.

Rick

Oh, does it have a cedar top?
