If I had bothered to check up, I would have written that the Edwardian period was 1901 – 1910 rather than the dates I posted.
Queen Victoria died on 22nd January 1901 and Edward VII died on 6th May 1910. Although his coronation wasn't until 1902, I'm sure we have to count right from the death of the previous monarch. This gives the Edwardian period as 10 years and a few months, which is close enough to a decade for me.
