I knew a guy once who did that and ended up before a Captain's Mast for "lewd, disgusting, lascivious, degrading, immoral, illegal, fatiguing, and generally nasty behavior unbecoming to a member of the United States Navy or even of the human race in general." He was brigged, flogged, ducked, keelhauled, hung from the yardarm until covered by two tides, drummed out of the sevice, made to ride the wooden horse, and strappedoed. It was the worst punishment ever given at the Memphis Naval Air Station, especially the keelhauling.
