My colleague and Peer on the Realm is correct!!! There are snot eating worms present in many gardens and cultivated areas of the world. I saw a special presentation on the Garden Channel while on hiatus at a place that had cable TV earlier this month.

Although they are truly disgusting creatures to behold they are handy to run up the old schnozzola during cold and flu season. Snoteaters have no known side effects like accelerated heart beat and spiked out blood pressure as most "modern" day sinus relief medicines. I have several hanging from each nostril as I write and am breathing like a blacksmith's bellows with a defense contract!!
