On the subject - a few years ago it was women who were being stereotyped - nice frilly pinny, immaculate house, squeaky clean children. Absolute bollocks as far as a lot of women were concerned.

Now the pendulum has swung too far the other way and that offends me as much as the mumsy women did. It is demeaning to women that advertisers think that portraying men as bozoes is going to sell the product to us.

I wonder what sort of world the advertising agency gurus live in? They are so damned condescending to the viewer, on the whole. Looks like they really are aiming for the lowest common denominator. Talk about dumbing down!

I agree with Martin - I do have a negative image of the products being advertised in that manner.
