This is a moderated thread. I will maintain it by extracting the information you post into the appropriate listing and then move your post to the older thread.

Many, if not most, mudcatters are interested in finding groups of people to get together with to make music. There are probably thousands of these groups, with different levels of formality and different structures. A complete list is impossible, but let's try to get a fairly extensive listing here.

The original thread on this subject was started in 1997 and most of the postings were of that vintage. The locations were all jumbled together, so it was hard to find anything. I am organizing them. When there was a definite group name, I searched for a website. Therefore, much of this is outdated and definitely incomplete. PLEASE post corrections and additions and I will try to keep this in shape as a useful listing.

I will have separate posts for each state, province, or country. I am starting with the USA and will shortly add Canada. There have been very few postings for other countries as yet.
