Well I would love to be proud of Ely Cathedral, the invention of rubber tyres, the splitting of the atom, the song "Searching fo Lambs", Newton's "Laws of motion", the Clifton suspension bridge, Shakespeare's plays and any one of a number of Islay malts; but regrettably, I had nothing whatsoever to do with the creation of any of these things. I just happen to live in the same geographical area as the inventors.
