With all its problems, travel in a motor home gives us freedom. If we don't like it where we are, we simply move on. You don't get that in even the posh hotels. Food prep. is a major advantage. I hate to eat any raw foods such as salads in a restaurant. I don't know if the salad chef washed his hands after his trip to the head or not. Laugh if you wish, but when I see a cook leave the men's room, go directly into the kitchen, and I go to the same men's room and there is only one sink and the soap and the sink are bone dry, I'm gone.And, I don't go back.
I've walked out of a few restaurants when my waitress came to take my order and was coughing all over everything. Furthermore, I complain to the management. If I go to a sandwich shop and the sandwich makers are bare handed, I leave, and I tell them why.
