Thread Name: froggie went a courtin
Subject: RE: froggie went a courtin
My dad used to sing the verse attributed to Pete Seeger by Joe F. I'm sure he didn't get it from Pete,'cause I introduced him to Pete's music when I was a teenager, but I recall hearing him sing this tune when I was a toddler.

The last two verses were:
They paddled off across the lake,
    Rolly polly gamin and finnigan,
    Paddled off across the lake
And got swallowed up by a big black snake
    Hey ho said Anthony Rawley.

Now that was the end of him and her,
    Rolly polly gamin and finnigan,
That was the end of him and her,
Now we won't have tadpoles covered in fur
And hey ho said Anthony Rawley.

This popped into my mind when Le Scaramouche said,"They don't get as far as unnatural sex! "
