Thread Name: No folk clubs in East Leeds
Subject: RE: No folk clubs in East Leeds
Way back in the dim and distant past (more years ago than I care to remember) when I lived in Whitkirk we always had to travel to town to go to folk club - hence my formative years in folk were spent at such places as The Grove and The Regent. I well remember being walked back to City Square for my bus home by the likes of Roger Sutcliffe, Tom Napper etc.

My dad still lives there and I am certain he would have let me know if there was a nearer club I could go to when visiting him.

Chapel Haddersley is part way between Doncaster and Selby as is used by the 'rolling' folk session on a Wednesday night which also happens at the Black Dog, Camblesford and The Jimmy Hurst.

If you find any nearer let me know.
