Oh, Shenandoah is always beautiful. Happens to be on my mind at the moment.

If they're good enough, some Elizabeth: Matona, Lovely Maiden, or the one whose name I forget that is an ode to sleep (Come, close my eyes; tired of beholding vanity...). Or, for that matter, Down by the Salley Gardens.

There are plenty of youth's French songs that will serve -- A La Claire Fontaine, trimmed down to a few verses, might be lovely.

If you want to raise a stir, teach them to sing "With Your Drums and Guns..." (Johnny, I hardly knew ye) or "Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream".
