I'm pretty certain the Danish version wasn't written by a Dane either - the grammar leaves a bit to be desired. "Danskere" (Danes) with a capital D.. That would only be started with a capital D if it also started the sentence, as it counts as a noun, not a name. Where the pattern in English is Denmark > Dane > Danish, in Danish it would be Danmark > dansker > dansk.

Judging from the text I think the author - whoever that is - probably had this bloke in mind when writing the "apology".
