I dont see the song as 'promoting' an illegal activity, it was purely a child explaining what he would rather be doing than being at school, especially as I understand it, he hated school because he was bullied (I am open to correction).
As far as fathers being asked to commit an offence, I really think that's taking it a bit too seriously, it was a just a song for goodness sake !!!
Oh and as for people asking questions on the mudcat site - you don't have to provide an answer if you don't want to you know. I think its good that there are still some helpful people out there, but perhaps I'm in the minority these days?
