T'was on a Monday morning the plumber had to call
to fix a leak or two for us: the damp was on the wall.
He fixed it in a jiffy, we'd no reason to complain
but then the washing machine just stopped - we had to phone again.

Oh it all etc.

The washing machine was soon repaired I'm very pleased to say
so we heaved a sigh of thankfulness & life went on it's way.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday just passed quietly
but on Sunday, why, the car broke down - God bless the RAC!
