As a long serving worker for regional TV - BBC South, it was always a haven of things that matter. We produced a programme of local folk music back in about 70. Black and white - local celebrities plus Jack Thakerey and Steve Race to give it credibilty, nothing has changed. The local press said something along the lines of " a breakthrough" and "out of the dark ages" never got shown again of course. Another of BBC South's Regional programmes " Midsummer at Christchurch" a film of the Christchurch Festival, is I believe in the EFDSS archives.
