Subject: RE: BS: Being Canuck on St. Joseph's Day
I just read this thread again [yeah I know. I should have better things to do, but that's life] I now "get' Bruce's post:
"St Hubert is the patron saint of barbeque sauce, IMO. And if he ain't he should be"
and I can now appreciate the wit of gnu's line "I will definite bring up my beef with them on this. I can be quite saucy myself. I am no chicken".
It just goes to show you that "fool me once, fool me twice ah..um -whatever fearless leader said.."
****
Q, so I gather from your post that you haven't always been a Canadian? So does this mean that born & bred Canadians keep cultural things hidden even from those people who have drank Canadian water and breathed Canadian air but weren't born there???
For shame! I thought they were better than that. We Unitedstaters can show them a thing or two. Yepper. We'll show them how to spread their culture all around the world...Think of the example of Mikey D's golden arches. Better yet, think about the example of KFC- after all "they do chicken right."
