I saw a lot of knuckles and napes smacked with a pointer in one-half school year when I was nine years old. We were staying with relatives after moving to Moncton and I attended St. Bernard's Catholic School. I was glad when we moved into our own house and I got out of that place. I got the pointer the very first morning... nobody told me that Catechism started at 08:30h and school at 09:00h.
