You might want to check out the "Music-For-Robin" site calender. It gives a good listing of venues & happenings within, I think, a 200 mile radius of Boston. Also as time draws near check out the Boston Globe's calender section, very good on folk listings, sessions, concerts, coffehouses & dances.
There's also the Friday evening sessions at the Press Room in Portsmouth, NH.
