My aunt feeds and looks after several feral cats in her village. Each one is microchipped and most are neutered, but they are all wild. Food is put in certain spots for them, but they don't always come and they certainly don't all thrive on the amount she feeds them - they suppliment their diet with local fauna - no bad thing in a farming community.

I bet they wouldn't bat an eyelid at the bear either!
