I saw him in Sacramento some twenty years ago, and I didn't expect to like him. Half of the concert was easy-listening music and his "greatest hits" and was about what I expected - tolerable, but not what I like. The other half of the concert was a wide variety of folk songs, many from Africa - and I really enjoyed it.
