I live on the edge of the CBD & rely on public transport. I can get a direct train to Margaret's place (5 stations, about 10-12 minutes) or train & bus. I get train (2 stations to CBD) & bus (15 mins) to Jenny's club. I also have kind friends who take me home or part of the way home from concerts & sessions.

Depending on your plans for the 6 days, a car could make life easier if you want to go to distant places, like the Blue Mountains.
