I always found the same with children. Until I had my own, I didn't particularly like children and certainly didn't want any. I had no idea what to do with them. Yet at any gathering, the children always seemed to make a bee-line for me. It doesn't happen any more though now it wouldn't bother me so much. In fact I quite like some children
