Rain and seven hours sleep.

I've managed to get the dogs to stop barking outside the back door until I feed them by short-circuiting the process. They don't get fed first thing any more, they get a 15-30 minute walk, then we come back home and they get fed. They bark if they know they'll get fed soon, but they don't bark in order to go for a walk.

Pretty smart, eh? (Until they think of some other annoying trick to turn into a habit, that is. . .)
