Glad to know where Dan is these days. I met him when he was in Arkansas at the the West Fork Opry.   He performed in Mountain View several times.   Damon Black was basically a story teller and a good one.   At some point I would like to find or collect information on his total body of work.   One song I am presently trying to locate is about a contented farm couple who take in a farm hand who eventually attracts the affections of the wife resulting in the murder of the husband who is buried in grave in the woods.   In time the couple is trapped in a snowstorm and the only escape is through the woods where the husband is buried.   The horse or mule carrying them to safety will not pass the grave of the farmer.
