Mick said Grandmother's house, not Grandparents house, and quite too. Those generations anyway, the house was the mother's territory, the father was more like a permanent guest. As they say, home is where when you go there, they have to let you in.
Which makes Mudcat home as well, I suppose. That's why there's a fair bit of fighting from time to time - some of it is family in-fights, and some of it is defensive against a sense that home is being threatened.
