Sonnet 13/12/05                         MXXXVI

I wonder still how I might send her stars
To reflect in her eyes. I do not think
It is so much a crime, to care. She bars
My words, but I still dreams to her smile link.
I wonder why she remains in my heart,
To guide dreams where they should not go. I try
Seeking another muse, but cannot part
With what soul finds in vision of her eye.
I wonder what might alter mood, to give
A chance for dreams: Should I pretend to be
As other than I am? Can my dreams live
Knowing they will not her smile ever see?
I do not wonder if I will forget:
I'll not longing for muse ever regret.
