Thread Name: Fun With Mangled Lyrics
Subject: RE: Fun With Mangled Lyrics - A Place In The Choir
English-Spanish-French-German-Italian-English
A lot of the meaning survived this journey pretty well, but I do love the lines about him feeling the bottom, the charlatans ducking, the tortoise plunging itself into you, and the "old gray" sighing "Oh, of the rat!"

And that "Customers of Staines" (or "Accounts Of Staines," as it came out in some versions) really can write, can't he? ;-D

=========================================
A SQUARE IN THE CHORUS
Beside: Customers of Staines

Abstention:
The creatures of the whole God have caught a square in the chorus.
Some sing the deeper point and the others sing in the advanced side,
Some sing high towards to the outside in the line of the telephone,
Whichever ones palm their right hands or foot or all things the hour has caught up.

He feels the bottom, it's what it is in the heart
Where croaks the frog of the bull and the hippopotamus
Objections groan and in the great tattoo
And the old cow, not hardly "the MOO" disappears.

Dogs and cats, they take mediums
Where whirrs the bee of the honey and the violins of the crickets,
Bawlings of the ass and that one the colts of the whinnies
And old grays sigh "Oh, of the rat!"

(Abstention)

It is felt for the small cover with the song of the birds
And melodíes and high noises of notes
And the owl of the outcry, it walks above all
And the big merle differs from it.

Songs the night, Song the day
And the small charlatan ducks and is in the relative sense
And the otter has not been able to say a lot
And moreover the porcupine speaks.

(Abstention)

Simple song is one, the small sung everywhere
From the cattle and the vixen and grizzly bear of the bear,
The astonished crocodile and the hawk arrive,
Astute old weasel and the turtle plunges itself into you.

Abstention:
The creatures of the whole God have caught up a location in the chorus.
Some sing the deeper point and the others sing in the advanced side
Some sing high to the outside in the line of the telephone
Some clap their hands or feet to the right or every possible thing, the hour has caught up.
