Thread Name: Poynton festival details?
Subject: RE: Poynton festival details?
Thanks.
The turn up and buy a programme approach is fine for people who are coming for the weekend but the website doesn't even tell you where to get one from in advance.
Give us a clue Focus workshops about what? might be an instrument one of us plays.

I often think that festivals could do more to make folk accessible to local people. This needs good information about whats on and tickets available for single items for people not willing or able to commit a whole day. It seems its hard to get both, Chester has its programme up already (for May 26th) but you can't buy a ticket for a single event (not easy with the maquee, but maybe you could change by the hour and give refunds when you leave?), Poyton offers indivdual pay-on-the-doors, but you can't find out what for.

I know that the first concern of festivals is their season ticket buyers and that you all do a good job for love and get all the flak.
But maybe the committee should think about putting the programme on the website another year.
