Thread Name: Obit: Tom Dundee injury and death (1946-2006)
Subject: Tom Dundee injured
Word has reached me tonight that Tom Dundee, a mainstay of the Chicago folk music world at least since the 1970s, was badly injured in a motorcycle accident---that possibly involved a stroke as well. Tommy is an old friend. Details are sketchy but I just want to let his friends and fans in on the little I know. He is apparently at the St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.

Tom Dundee is a fine songwriter and singer who wrote one of my favorite songs of all time. Titled "A DELICATE BALANCE" --- if it's not in the digitrad I will be posting it soon.   As an original member of the Weavers revival group called WEAVERMANIA, along with Michael Smith, Mark Dvorak and Barbara Barrow, Tom showed this recent generation why we old ones enjoyed the Weavers music so much.

Tonight I'm just numb, and hoping this isn't as bad as it might be...
