That's a fine bombarde you've got there Lynne. I can make yours go loud AND soft (well, maybe loud and a little less loud), which is more volume control than I can get out of mine.

My bombie is either on or off (methinks the band think it sounds off, but hey ho).

If you need more reed scraping, then corner me next time we meet. You can hack away a good lot of cane from a bombarde reed and not have to worry about the impact on the sound!!
