Perhaps taking this one step at a time would be better.

The only reason for this additional proposal to further restrict or 'review' all Guest postings on the music forum (where there does not seem to be any problem requiring any change) - is the Chief of the Mudcat editing Team's proposal to restrict the BS section to members only. As he now admits the failure of the current measures to impose the peace that he requires.

This is a classic case of 'putting the cart before the horse'.

The BS section now acts as a safety valve for the music section. Leave it alone to operate as this and no changes need to be imposed on the music section.

Neither section needs to be fixed as neither are in fact broken. They are functioning as well as they ever could be.

Those behind these proposals and those who support a private members club are welcome to go away and form one. They are not welcome to try and turn our forum into one - simply because they cannot accept that no one has any control over what anyone else chooses to post.
