At this time, I'm driving my 2001 3/4 ton GMC Savana cargo van. It's a major gas-hog, but a heavy-duty van is essential for my business. I ordinarilly use it for business only, but our other car died a few months back and I haven't yet made enough money this year to replace it. I hope to pick up something economical within the next few weeks. We don't do too much personal driving, but we do live 50 miles from the nearest city and average a couple of trips in per week. A decent second-hand economy car with around 30 MPG would pay for itself in fuel savings in about a year.
