I think...that no one is perfect. I judge people as "likeable" or acceptable if they act in a likeable wat most of the time. I can forgive them for the occasional failing when they are under stress. It is people who are consistently vicious, mean-spirited, and nasty almost ALL the time that I find truly objectionable.

Also, one can usually get some nastiness out of most people if one harasses or provokes them long enough. The moderators of this forum have been harassed and provoked a great deal.

If those words you mention had had, as you say, "no effect" on you, Roger, you wouldn't keep bringing them up.
