Those of you who are interested in pure traditional folk music are in for a real treat. Jerry Epstein will be giving a special house concert on Sunday afternoon, August 13th at the home of John Ziv and Deborah Rubin, located at 549- Route 97, Sparrowbush, NY 12780. For the un-familiar, Sparrowbush is located 5 miles north of Port Jervis on the scenic Hawks Nest Drive (Rte. 97) overlooking the Delaware River. The concert is called for 1 PM and the price will be $10 per person (children under 10 free). It includes a light barbecue. All proceeds will go to the performer. Jerry Epstein is no stranger to the world of folk music. He is widely known for his powerful voice and traditional singing style. He is also a scholar and a master player of the English Concertina. Those who want to come from NYC by public transportation can take the Short Line bus from Port Authority to Port Jervis or the NJ Transit-Metro North train from Hoboken (Port Jervis Line).
