I'm glad you lads agree that it's a very, very good book.

She's not my fave singer either but she's still pretty good. She's entitled to her own style and Auldtimer is equally entitled not to like it, but this is a book not a recording that we're talking about.                                                            

Try her album "White Rose o' June", 2003. It's the the songs of Carolina Oliphant (Lady Nairne). It's worth the money for the title track alone, not to mention the detailed background notes. (Anne has her own website)
