Anytime one country detains and tortures a citizen from another country, it is bound to cause a bit of friction!

By citing the case of Maher Arar, the U.S. is only trying to save face. There is absolutely no reason this man and his family should have endured punishment by the U.S.

As far as our immigration policy, I think the U.S. should look at their own immigration problems. At least our immigrants have documentation. What about the number of illegals in the U.S.?
