If Chicago was the second home to the Blues, which I believe it was. like Art says, I just want you all to know that Boston was their vacation spot. I grew up on the same menue. The blues were a constent in Boston. Quite a few of the guys I grew up with ended up playing in bands with Muddy Waters, BB King & the whiter side bands. At 17 I could get into the Jazz Workshop & Pall's Mall which hosted an array of top blues & Jazz musicians, there were other clubs (can't remember their names) & they hosted blues & 60's phychedelic. On one hand you'd catch the Jefferson Airplane or Cream, next there's be Willie Dixion, John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thorthan(sp?), Buddy Guy or Junior Wells, Muddy Waters & all the others. Sure Chicago was their second home but when they wanted to have some real fun & blow off steam they'd come to "Boston the Vaction Home of the Blues". I know what you mean Art, "wasn't that a time".
