Well, for three steps, it doesn't matter much, but for more general purposes, do not use alternate coloured steps. I think they have a tendancy to disrupt some peoples depth perception, which is why the dizziness can happen.


A contasting colour strip on the lip is a good idea, especially if it is a high grip finish.
