ACK! Stairs. I'm nursing a very bruised body after a fall down my cellar stairs yesterday.

A light at the top and bottom of the stairs is a help. Holding the handrail - something I did not do yesterday - is highly recommended.

Last weekend darling sister and I had trouble negotiating some outdoor agregate stairs at Longwood Gardens. All those stones and pebbles made it difficult to identify the edge of each step. It didn't help that the stairs had a wide curve to them.
