I was reading today that Jimi Hendrix believed that notes had colors. (He certainly anthropomorphized colors in the lyrics of "Axis: Bold as Love.") Laura Nyro would instruct her back-up musicians to play music in certain colors. There was one other singer-songwriter I heard of recently who clearly visualized a palette for the entire scale.

Anybody around these parts visualize their music in such a way?
