On the medical used of superglues - I've had a badly sliced thumb glue up by a hospital A&E before now.

Superglues may be activated by moisture, but, IIRC older ones were also degraded by moisture (as well as by temperatures above +80 and below -80 deg Celcius), we used to mount Transmission Electron Microscope samples for lapping, by supergluing them to glass slides and remove them by immersing them in boiling water for ten to fifteen minutes.
