I'd rather have a curry than a cucumber sandwich and mint tea or a glass of wine rather than Earl Grey or Dargeeling.

I have settled so well in Maine (well, it is 'New England') that I don't think that national characteristics usually count for much. Seems to me that people is people the world over.....
