Nothing wrong with updating the sound of "folk" songs. These are songs that change over time anyway - so why the uproar? I personally find the music uplifting to listen to which is a far cry from most things in the mainstream nowadays - and if it causes people to find out more about Seeger and the genre then that's all the better as well.
